Combining Brazilian rhythms with the traditional Yoruba music, Ilê Aiyê are a Carnival bloc band from Salvador. Driven by drums and vocals, their Afro-Brazilian music is powerful, spiritual, unique and best experienced live. Since forming in 1974, they have performed all over the world, including at the 2014 World Cup, and we can’t wait to have them in Edinburgh as part of their 50th anniversary tour.
