Jazz 100 - Eddie Condon 01 Jun 2017
Eddie Condon’s rhythm guitar playing wasn’t just heard, it was felt. A musician whose legacy is as a catalyst and enabler, rather than a star soloist, he ran his own club in the 1940s and 1950s, gathered compatible talents into swinging, celebratory ensembles and despite being born 100 miles away, he created an image for Chicago jazz and allowed it to shine.
John Burgess plays Condon at this year's Festival. Read more about the show here!
