Brass & Crimson returns for a second year bigger and better – a modern celebration of the iconic age and scene that made Drambuie world-famous.
Cutting–edge new music showcased in an alternative club environment. Artists have a strong connection to their jazz and blues heritage whilst exploring fresh sounds from hip-hop, to afro-latin, punk and electronica.
European Jazz is a special feature of our programme. We’re presenting over 30 concerts from France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden as well as a conference with Napier University
This year, some familiar faces are here in Edinburgh for extended stays and we have a host of great artists coming to experience Edinburgh’s unique Festival city vibe for the first time.
A dash of glamour, from one of Edinburgh's most historical theatre. The towering glass modern facade contrasts with the red and gold traditional theatre layout inside. Top jazz and blues names make up the programme in this the biggest of the Festival venues. With a capacity of 2,000 over three leels, the venue is surprisingly intimate.
We are committed to bringing new talent to the Festival, and established names make their debuts alongside some great rising stars.
