Brass & Crimson returns for a second year bigger and better – a modern celebration of the iconic age and scene that made Drambuie world-famous. 2016’s Brass & Crimson experience will bring together iconic talent with emerging stars that fly the flag for Jazz and its influence on other genres to create new musical experiences.
Kicking off at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival on 20-21 July with MOBO award-winning Soweto Kinch and acclaimed singer/songwriter Laura Groves, one of the hottest musicians on the German jazz scene, Max Von Mosch and New Orleans funky feel band, Brass Gumbo.
The story of Drambuie began in 1746, its rich history has taken it from its Scottish roots, through prohibition and to the clubs of New York in the 1960s where it became ingrained in the bar scene and is the irreplaceable key ingredient in the timeless Rusty Nail™ - a favourite cocktail of the legendary Rat Pack.
Just like the evolution of the jazz scene, Drambuie has evolved its serves. Created for the summer, the Drambuie Collins is a light and refreshing take on the classic Collins.
