We've already announced a pair of big hitters in Jools Holland and George Benson, and last week we revealed a further 40 acts - now the big day is here, with full details of the jazz and blues bands who'll be playing at the Festival from 17th-26th July.

With over 150 gigs and over 1000 performers at 13 venues, including centenary events for Frank Sinatra and Willie Dixon, there's an amazing selection of artists, spanning a huge range of styles and specialisms, from established stars to new names and everything in between!

Acts this year will include the likes of Antonio Sanchez, Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials, Songhoy Blues, Gabby Young And Other AnimalsStefano Bollani, Niki King, Zoe Rahman Trio, TrokerSomi, and Person to Person with Hamish Stuart, Molly Duncan and Steve Ferrone of the Average White Band.

Plus there's the welcome return of festival favourites like Red Stripe Band, Diplomats of Jazz, Maggie Bell, Tommy Smith and Warren Vaché.

We'll be highlighting some of the great collaborations and new names here in the news section of the website, so do check back regularly for more information.

And of course there'll be the huge, free public events like the Mardi Gras and Edinburgh Festival Carnival, bringing thousands to the streets for music, fun and two massive parties.

Tickets for this year's Festival will go on sale on Wednesday 6th May. And look out for our downloadable brochure, coming Tuesday 5th!
