Join us for a musical jaunt through the heat of the southern states with a little New York ‘tin pan alley’ thrown in for good measure. Led by vivacious singer and early jazz historian Ali Affleck, the Auld Town Stompers create the perfect balance of hot early jazz and feisty pre-war blues while they explore the vivacious songbooks of Victoria Spivey, Ma Rainey and Clarence Williams… including some of the most bizarre songs of early jazz involving a character called Razor Jim!
