Leading the charge for popularising early Jazz, Ali Affleck has carved a reputation as one of Scotland’s most popular jazz singers. Her authenticity when delivering a lyric stems from her American background and her extensive training in early jazz, Tin Pan Alley (1920s-30s American pop music) and blues. She is also an early jazz historian and shares her knowledge and expertise in today’s talk which is suitable for all.
