After recent EJBF outings with jazz collective Playtime, here he performs with his own quartet including Martin Kershaw on sax and Elie Afif on bass, promising an effortless fusion of jazz and folk.
A major figure on the Scottish jazz scene, saxophonist and composer Phil Bancroft plays strong, searing modern jazz. With Scottish jazz masters Mario Caribe on bass and Tom Bancroft of drums, this promises to mix playful grooves with blurty improv alongside almost telepathic interplay.
