Expect colour, spectacle, sounds and electric atmosphere as Scotland's largest multicultural celebration returns to the streets of Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Festival Carnival Parade: 1-3pm

Over 800 carnival performers will parade along Princes Street, bringing a spectacle of music, dance, costumes, puppets, circus, and acrobatics.


Princes Street Gardens: 3-6pm

Sounds will beat from the stage of the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens, opening with our ‘Encontro’ featuring 150 drummers, and closing with one of the UK’s finest reggae artists, Tippa Irie. We will also have zones for dance, music, circus performers across the Gardens.

Goodtrees Mini Carnival - Saturday 9 July 2022

Goodtrees Community Carnival, a day of local and international celebration. In partnership with Edinburgh Festival Carnival, Goodtrees is proud to host and showcase performers from around the world.

Our day starts with carnival costumes and drum groups parading from Moredun Library (92 Moredun Park Rd, Edinburgh, EH17 7HL) at 11.00. The carnival will finish at Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre (5 Moredun Vale Pl, Edinburgh, EH17 7LB), after which they will be workshops, performances, stalls and play/sports activity, something for the whole family from 11.00-15.00.
