Community Music - GD Jam Online
Gorgie Dalry Jam!
Every Monday night from 7pm on our Facebook Group and Zoom!
Come along and have fun and enjoy playing music with others. Music skills and past knowledge need not hold you back.
We can’t teach you how to play an instrument, but we can give you an opportunity to develop skills in group settings led by tutors who are amongst the leading professional musicians in the city.
We aim to create music groups that are enjoyed by everyone, young and old, and from a range of musical interests and levels of capability. Bring your instrument and we welcome singers too!
Every Monday, GD Jam is moving onto our Facebook group - www.facebook.com/groups/GDJAM - for discussion, practice tips, lessons and friendly faces.
And, every Monday from 7pm, we're trialing making group music via Zoom.us, a conference calling software that allows us all to meet up online, say hello, share some ideas and record a few songs by playing along to the group leader in the comfort of your home!
New meeting details are sent out via email (to sign-up for our community music mailing list, email email@example.com and say hello!) or posted up on the Facebook group, which EVERYONE is welcome to join, no matter age, ability, technical equipment of instrument. We just want to meet lots of people and make some music together on a Monday.
The group will be led by musical director Mike Kearney (The Katet, Tinderbox Orchestra), and supported by Tinderbox Collective

GD JAM Community Concert, 21st October 2019
Monday 21st of October saw a fabulous evening where two strands of the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival met in an infusion of music and entertainment.
Out community music group GD Jam supported the fabulous Fergus McCreadie and Matt Carmichael in a free concert for Gorgie/Dalry residents and St Bride's Centre users. With over 120 local people in attendance, the concert was a huge success - thanks to all of the band who performed, the community who attended, and the volunteers who helped make it such a great event. If you'd like the band to perform in a comunity centre or event near you, please get in touch! John@adjazz.co.uk
