For over 43 years the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival has provided a platform to showcase the very best Jazz and Blues artists that the world has to offer. Held over 10 days and with over 170 performances a year EJBF is one of the largest jazz festivals in Europe and creates moving and memorable experiences for the 70,000 people who visit us annually.
We take pride in the breadth and depth of talent that Scotland has to offer and champion Scottish artists at home and abroad through our talent development initiatives, but our work doesn’t stop there. Beyond the stage we also take responsibility towards enhancing people’s lives in the wider community of Edinburgh through our Learning and Participation programmes.
Each year the income from ticket sales represents 45% of our annual income. As a charity we rely on the generous support of our funders and donors to help us bring this annual celebration of Jazz and Blues to life. In 2020 we have had to cancel our annual festival resulting in the loss of all earned ticket income.
Your support will enable Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival to weather this trying period, continue to present ambitious and innovative programmes and to keep the festival and our wider work open and accessible to all.
