Acclaimed singer Rachel Lightbody has always had many interests branching beyond classic vocal jazz. For EJBF23, she will explore her love of song through contemporary arrangements and improvisations, found in the musical influences of Lennon & McCartney, Jerome Kern and Joni Mitchell to name a few. Expect to hear songs from the American Songbook, classic American singer songwriters as well as new original material.
She is backed by her band of Helena Kay (saxohone), Thomas Gibbs (piano), David Bowden (bass) and Stephen Henderson (drums).
