The EJBF Autumn Series runs from 20 October to 20 November, celebrating the best of Scottish jazz and blues. As part of the series, we are presenting a special Jazz Weekend at the St Bride’s centre in Dalry from 10 – 13 November. You can expect hot sounds from jazz musicians in Scotland, from singers to saxophonists, pianists to guitarists – we've got it all. With twelve bands delivering fresh sounds, there’s an exciting mix of familiar faces and new names making their Edinburgh debut. Here’s five reasons why you shouldn’t miss the EJBF Autumn Jazz Weekend:

Ben MacDonald presents his new trio Mar, Rachel Duns Band make their debut, pianist Ben Shankland follows up his EJBF Introducing Series gig in 2021 with a new project from a new trio, and Glassworks is a project from Dan Brown and Emilie Boyd.

There’s a host of exciting new projects from some of the more familiar faces on the scene. Colin Steele will be joined by Martin Kershaw and Ross Milligan to play a set of jazz standards, beautiful ballads, Scottish melodies and original tunes, Graeme Stephen and his quartet promise an effortless fusion of jazz and folk, and Paul Harrison presents a live jazz score for the 1915 silent film ‘Alice in Wonderland’.

All the concerts are taking place at the St Bride’s Centre in Dalry. It’s a great venue for jazz with an intimate auditorium with a great acoustic and it's just a few minutes walk from Haymarket.
